Once all the initial bets are in the game will start. Then the stickman pushes a number of dice to the shooter. The shooter will choose 2 dice to play with. Then the shooter will toss the dice across the table hitting the back wall. This is to prevent the shooter from tossing the dice a specific way in order to cheat.

This is what will happen after the shooter tosses the dice the first time:

• A result of 7 or 11. Would be an instant win.
• A result of 2, 3 or 12. Would be an instant loss.
• A result of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 (a point number). If one of these are rolled then the point is set. The shooter will then have to keep rolling the dice until they hit the point or a 7. If they hit the point before a 7 then they win, but if they throw a 7 before the point then they lose.

Players around the table can be on this toss also. Betting for the shooter is call a pass line bet while betting against the shooter is call a don't pass bet. For those betting on Don't Pass a loss to the 12 is considered a tie. This gives the house higher odds.

If the first throw hits the point number being thrown then the shooter must throw again. The rules for the second throw are similar to the first throw.

• A result of 7 or 11. Would be an instant win.

• A result of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 (a point number). If one of these are rolled then the come point is set. The shooter will then have to keep rolling the dice until they hit the come point or a 7. When the come-out roll and finished players can bet a Come bet or a Don't Come bet. These bets are Pass line and Don't Pass and are made after the shooter has set a point.

The shooter keeps throwing the dice until they lose. They will then pass the dice to the person on their left.
